The Blue Double Rose of Sharon is a flowering shrub that grows well here in North Carolina. Although it originates from China and India, it was originally thought to be from the Middle East.
The Rose of Sharon is in the Bible in the Song of Solomon. It is named after the western shore of the Mediterranean in Israel. This beautiful flower, although not a rose, is very intricate in it’s double form.
I use various colored pencils on white paper to draw the Blue Double Rose of Sharon flowering shrub. Furthermore, I print it on archival-quality paper. The paper consists of 100% cotton fiber. It is sourced and produced in the USA.
